Open and safe spaces for everyone
The outdoor area of Huruma is currently dirt and very rocky, posing a danger for children and adolescents to play without the risk of serious injuries from falls. During the rainy season, conditions become even more challenging, turning activities like playing ball, jumping rope, or tag into a real struggle.

Our Mission: Ensuring Good Hygiene and Annual Medical Check-ups
One of our fundamental projects is to educate and promote hygiene practices, as they are the foundation for good health. We conduct an annual medical check-up for all the children and seek funding for those who need treatments, whether to combat infections, viral diseases, or other conditions like HIV.

The project “Big Cow Solidarity” was born after our visit to the Huruma Orphanage, where we identified the need to improve the nutrition of the children.

Our goal is to install electricity or solar panels at the Huruma Orphanage. Electrical energy is essential to ensure basic rights such as adequate nutrition, health, dignified housing, and education.

Our goal is to build bathrooms and showers at the Huruma Orphanage. The current sanitary facilities are in critical condition, jeopardizing the continuity of the orphanage and the safety of its residents.
New Land
The Huruma Orphanage Needs More Space
It is essential to find a new plot of land for the Huruma Orphanage or acquire the adjacent properties to continue growing. The current location has become insufficient and does not meet the needs for establishing a garden, a farm, and, in the future, a larger building to accommodate all the children.
