Our mission: educating children in need.
In our project, we are committed to educating as many children as possible, ensuring quality education since early childhood. Currently, we enroll children starting at age 4.
School selection.
We carefully choose schools that offer classes in English and share our values. We believe that education should be holistic and formative, not just academic.
Educational challenges in Tanzania.
Although primary education in Tanzania is free, the reality is that many families face significant obstacles getting their children to school. Requirements such as uniforms, shoes, school supplies, and various fees (admission, exams, etc.) represent an economic burden that many families in the suburbs cannot bear.
Attention to urgent cases.
Our priority is to enroll children in the most vulnerable situations, such as those who have been abandoned and are living on the streets.
Success stories.
Since May 9, 2016, we have started enrolling children like Heaven, Agape, and Karim, two of whom were abandoned. We found them a foster family near the school, and today all our children live in Huruma. In July 2017, we enrolled Nadia, age 4, and in January 2018, Sara, age 3. Thanks to generous contributions, the number of enrolled children continues to grow.
Costs of education.
The approximate annual cost per child is as follows:
- Early Childhood (3 to 6 years): 465 USD per year
- Primary (6 to 12 years): 580 USD per year
- Secondary (12 to 16 years): 870 USD per year
These costs do NOT include uniforms, footwear, and school transportation.
Currently, there are 39 enrolled children.
