Our mission: improving the quality of life for children.
At Imaniworld, we are committed to help the Huruma Orphanage, meet its basic needs and contribute to improve the quality of life for its residents.
Our visit to Huruma.
During our stay in Arusha in June 2016, we had the opportunity to visit the Huruma Orphanage, a small center housing 15 children, aged between 2 and 12 years. This orphanage is run by a team of altruistic individuals caring for the children without receiving any government assistance, relying only on occasional support from neighbors and the Church.
The current reality.
Today, Huruma houses 39 children and adolescents facing vulnerable situations. However, despite the challenges, we are committed in providing the necessary support to transform their lives. Our purpose is clear: to make a significant and lasting difference in their well-being by offering them a safe environment filled with love, education, and opportunities for a better future.
Urgent needs.
During our first visit, we identified several urgent needs, such as:
- Potable running water.
- Electricity.
- Bathrooms.
- Kitchen.
Thanks to generous donations, we have managed to meet some of these needs. However, there is still much to be done.
